Head of Department prof. V. Jebel is a member of the Association of Ukrainian specialists in heart failure, co-chair of Vinnytsia City Heart Association, member of the European Society of Cardiology. Professor Vadym Jebel is the author of 258 publications and co-authored 4 books in internal medicine for students of dental faculties. Since 1998 - a permanent member of the State Examining Board of Internal Medicine in VNMU.He also is a member of the Academic Council of the University and medical schools.

The topic of research (R & D) Department of Internal Medicine of Medical faculty №2 is "Using genetic and neurohormonal factors for prognosis and efficacy of treatment of cardiovascular diseases" (№ state registration 0111U010415). It is expected that preliminary results of the structure determination of angiotensin II receptor gene first type will predict the characteristics and course of hypertension among residents of Vinnytsia region and thus optimize the selection of antihypertensive drugs for treatment.
Under the guidance of prof. V. Zhebel the department defended 1 DM theses, 12 PhD theses', 14 Master's works. Running 5 PhD theses'.
Each year, the Department held 5-7 conferences, employees participating in the work of national and international scientific conferences and forums on topical issues of internal medicine.
Student research group (SRG) of Department of Internal Medicine of Medical faculty №2 has 22 students of 2-6 courses of medical faculty № 2, dental and pharmaceutical departments. Meeting of SRG held every last Wednesday of the month. Every year students of medical faculty № 2 participate in international student conferences. Prizes occupied: Lozinska M.
