The beginning of the history of the Department of Phthisiology in Vinnitsa medical Institute. M. I. Pirogov can be considered in 1954, when the teachers of the Department of faculty therapy under the guidance of the prominent Russian physician Professor B. S. Shklyar and Professor – student V. P. Obraztsov, V. A. Safin began to read lectures and conduct practical lessons in Phthisiology. In the same year the Department was created a separate assistant for the course of tuberculosis and allocated 14 hours of practical training in the 4th year of the medical faculty. Since 1957, was allocated the position of associate Professor at the Department of faculty therapy and additionally an assistant for teaching the course of Phthisiology.

Since 1969, staff of assistants is greatly increased, and from 1971 – creates the actual Department of Phthisiology. Its founder in Vinnitsa medical Institute. M. I. Pirogov was a Professor (later Professor) Boris Abramovich Berezovsky. It was on his initiative the course of Phthisiology of the Department of hospital therapy became an independent Department, which included 10 people, including professors, associate professors, 5 assistants, clinical clinical physician and two laboratory technicians. Phthisiology were laid in the 4th year of medical, pediatric 5 course and 6 course of medical and pediatric departments in the amount of 120 hours. Clinical base of the Department was then Vinnytsia oblast and city antitubercular dispensaries, located in a picturesque district of Odessa – p'yatnychany. The regional center at that time was chaired by S. A. Markov (later – the candidate of medical science and honored doctor of Ukraine), city – V. T. Satuk.

Since the founding of the Department here worked associate Professor (later Professor)..Berezovsky, assistant Professor (then associate Professor) Vitaly V. Marchak. After the creation of the Department began to work as assistant (then associate Professor) Ivan Osicki , assistant Professor (associate Professor) Vladimir S. Golan, assistant Isabella Ivanovna Popova, assistant Professor Vladimir Wasylyk, assistant Professor Vladimir G. Goncharov. Later they were joined by assistant (Professor) George G., Zakopala. In 1979, the Department was joined to the course of Phthisiology of the faculty of improvement of doctors, headed by associate Professor V. S. Golan, and in 1992 the Department was created in the course of clinical immunology and Allergology.

In the course of Phthisiology of the doctors improvement faculty in the contest was at first credited as an assistant (then associate Professor) Vladimir Alexandrovich Kucher, assistant (later became Professor, and in 1992 - head of the Department of Phthisiology) Boris Mikhailovich Chubby, assistant (later became Professor and head of the Department of propedeutics of internal diseases) Yuri Mikhailovich Bridge, later as an assistant (then became a Professor) were enrolled Raisa Urdu Salabi, assistant Lyudmila Vladimirovna Micaiah. In 1988 in connection with the expansion of the teaching of tuberculosis in the state Department at the assistant rank Sergey V. Zaikova, who later became a lecturer and then a Professor.

Since 1992, in connection with the organization of the course of clinical immunology and Allergy, the staff of the Department are enrolled Olga Bronislavovna Bondarchuk, Irina Vladimirovna Koritko, Lyudmila G. Kulik, Alexander Petrovich Disagreement (now all of them are associate professors). For several times in addition to these scholars and teachers in the Department worked effectively Angela A. Zaikova, Pavel Ostapchuk, Ina V. bereziuk Svetlana V. Lanova, Lydia N. Kirichenko,Svetlana Kulas ( became candidates of medical Sciences ), laboratiories librarian Kotlyar, Tatiana Kozlovskaya, work senior laboratory assistant Olga Ludvika Bobelo, laboratory assistant Oksana, Malonic and other highly qualified scientists, doctors and technicians. In 1955, based in Vinnitsa regional Association of TB specialists, the Chairman of which for many years was Professor of B. A. Berezovsky. Since 1992, Vinnytsia doctors and scientists in the field of Phthisiology, pulmonology, immunology and Allergology has been integrated into the relevant Association – APPA (the first head was prof.M.The man, later chief physician of obltubdispanser I. M. Gorbatyuk).
